A Secretaria Estadual de Esportes e Lazer (Sesport) viveu um dia de festa nesta quarta-feira (21). Com a presença do governador Paulo Hartung, a Sesport realizou a entrega de materiais esportivos para os 64 municípios participantes do Campeonato Rural de Futebol Amador.
Na mesma solenidade foram entregues também 34 cadeiras de rodas especiais para a prática de esporte (14 para atletismo, 10 para basquete e 10 para rúgbi). O valor do investimento foi de R$ 257.400. Os paratletas de basquete e rúgbi contemplados já realizam treinos durante a semana no CT de Treinamento Jayme Navarro de Carvalho, na sede da Sesport. Já os de atletismo, a partir de um projeto pioneiro no Estado na modalidade, também iniciarão o treinamento.
Aos atletas, o governador destacou a importância do esporte para a formação e o fortalecimento de valores, como trabalho em equipe e disciplina. “Eu sei a importância do esporte na formação dos jovens. Eu aprendi a montar equipe praticando esportes coletivos. Este evento é um gol de placa porque estamos criamos um mecanismo que trabalha na formação e orientação de atletas. Estou muito feliz em entregar este equipamento. Temos que fazer o dinheiro público chegar onde não há esperança. Alocar o dinheiro de uma maneira social é decisivo, é fundamental” – destacou o governador.
O Campeonato Rural tem início neste sábado (24). A competição tem investimento total de R$ 301.310, sendo que R$ 133.179,74 são referentes aos kits entregues nesta quarta-feira (21), contando, cada caixa, com 44 uniformes (camisa, calção e meião), cinco bolas e duas redes. A realização do campeonato é uma parceria oriunda de um convênio entre o Estado e o Governo Federal.
No centro-norte, sábado, acontecem os seguintes jogos: Ponto Belo X Barra de São Francisco, Vila Pavão X Pinheiros, Montanha X Água Doce do Norte e Ecoporanga X Mantenópolis.
